Producer or Account Executive
Purpose:
To maximize client retention by providing superior service to assigned clients. To maximize sales by assisting the producer with placing and processing new business.
Primary Responsibility:
- Perform all account transactions including applications,
quotations, ID cards, proposals, summaries, endorsements,
certificates, binders, billing, follow-up and correspondence
assigned accounts.
- Respond to client inquiries, incoming mail, company requests and all other producers' needs on a timely basis
- Collect renewal data on assigned accounts.
- Review and order renewals according to agency producers. Document receipt of renewal and investigate non-renewals.
- Survey policy coverage and identify cross-selling Opportunities.
- Keep informed of all new sales programs.
- Review, analyze and market applications to insurance carriers. Make market recommendations to producer(s).Follow agency’s marketing guidelines. Negotiate with carriers to create the best combination of coverage and premium.
- Prepare quotations, coverage summaries/comparisons, proposals and recommendations needed to insure client/prospects understanding of coverage.
- Participate in or direct special projects as assigned by Producer or Manager
Qualifications:
- Excellent people skills
- Commitment to achieving the objectives of internal and external Customers
- Minimum 5 years experience in a customer service position with a retail broker/agent.
- Score at least 80% on the commercial lines test.
- Fire and Casualty license.
- Experience in working in an automated agency.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- High school diploma
Qualifications –Senior Account Mgr - all qualifications above PLUS:
- Must have at least one of the following professional designations:
- Ability to lead the team
- Ability to travel locally to go visit clients.
